Dorm Rooms

I just wanted to show you how I used to decorate my dorm rooms. It was really fun, but I'm trying to use a more grown up approach in my apartment.

Christmas

I just wanted to show you my little Christmas tree as well.

This is my friend Betsy with my husband in my little kitchen.

A little about my home.

Like I said, my new husband and I live in a little two bedroom apartment. When I'm feeling better and have some time to clean, I'll take some pictures of the apartment, but for now I'll show you this.

After the honeymoon, we came home to this. The majority of our homey things came as wedding gifts, or things that either Charles or I brought from our parent's homes. We spent our first month or so with nothing in our living room but a tv and that red and white blanket laid out as a picnic blanket. (We didn't have a kitchen table or anything either.)

Months before that Charles' mom had purchased a living room set for us, which we took pictures of in the store. It just took a while for them to be delivered to us. We've had them for a while now, and they're pretty great.

New!

Honestly, I don't have too much to add to the whole blogging world. I don't know how to do much of anything, but I'm always happy to learn. Really, I've just been watching too much HGTV and looking at too many happy decorating blogs with no money and the flu. So, I just thought this might be a good way to gather pictures and ideas of things that I like.

A little about me:
My husband, Charles, and I just graduated in May 2010 and got married in June 2010. We live in a little apartment in Chattanooga, TN. I'm substitute teaching and hostessing, hoping to get a full time teaching job one of these days. Charles is working at the front desk of a beautiful historic hotel and working on getting his Strength and Conditioning certification. We're having lots of fun starting off our life together.
